Robert E. Horton Lecture
Tuesday, 19 January, 5:00–6:00 p.m.
This lecture will be held in a session sponsored by the 24th Conference on Hydrology. The lecture will be given by John C.Schaake, NOAA/NWS, Silver Spring, Maryland, and is entitled “Weather, WATER, Climate, and Society: New Demands on Science and Services.”
Walter Orr Roberts Lecture
Wednesday, 20 January, 5:00–6:00 P.M.
This lecture will be held in a joint session co-sponsored by the 14th Conference on Aviation, Range, and Aerospace Meteorology and the Second Conference on International Cooperation in the Earth System Sciences and Services. The lecture will be given by Edward J. Zipser, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, and is entitled “The Importance of Field Campaigns: A Half-Century in the Real World.”
