The 15th Conference on Mesoscale Processes, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Mesoscale Processes, will be held 6-9 August 2013 at the Doubletree Hotel in Portland, OR.  A preliminary program, along with hotel and registration information, will be posted on the AMS website (www.ametsoc.org) in early Spring 2013.

Accommodations

All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel, 1000 NE Multnomah St, Portland, OR 97232. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of $145.00 Single/Double. Per diem rates of $113 are available for those who qualify, but the rate is limited to 30% of the room block.

Rates are subject to state and local taxes, currently at total of 14.5%.

To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room by 1 July, 2013.  Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations.  Make reservations by calling the hotel directly at 503-281-6111 or by calling our Toll-Free number at 800-996-0510. Group codes are AMD for the rooms at the $145 rate and AMG for the rooms at the Government rate of $113 – please refer to these codes when making your reservation.

Included in your stay is: Complimentary Internet Access in hotel including sleeping rooms and meeting space.

Confirmed reservations will be required to provide a credit card to guarantee reservations, cancelable up to 72 hours in advance of the conference date. There is an early departure fee of $25.00 to avoid this fee be sure to notify the DoubleTree Hotel before or at check-in or any change in length of stay.

Subject to room availability, these special rates will be available from 8/4-8/10/2013. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited. Reservations made after 7/1/13 are on a space available basis and the group rate is not guaranteed.

Registration

All attendees must register to attend the conference. Registration may be completed on-line, via fax-in form, or on-site. Links will be available in the left-hand panel of this page. Registration rates will be announced and opened in late mid-May 2013.
