16th Conference on Mountain Meteorology

The 16th Conference on Mountain Meteorology, sponsored by the American Meteorological Society and organized by the AMS Committee on Mountain Meteorology, will be held 18-22 August 2014, at The Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa in San Diego, CA.

Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. We have reserved a limited number of rooms available at the same special nightly rates! The Bahia Resort is a sister property of the Catamaran and located at 998 W Mission Bay Dr San Diego CA 92109. All meeting sessions for the conference will be held at The Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa, 3999 Mission Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92109.
The above room rates are guaranteed until 17 July, 2014 or until the room block is full, whichever comes first. Rates are subject to state taxes and SDTMDA. A charge of $20 will be added for each additional adult after double occupancy. These special group rates are also valid 3 days before and after the meeting dates based on availability. Deadline for reservations is July 17, 2014. We suggest booking your reservations early. All reservations require a deposit or credit card guarantee to hold them and they may be canceled, without penalties up until 72 hours of your arrival date.

All reservations require a credit card guarantee at the time of booking & reservations must be canceled, by phone, 72 hours prior to the arrival date by calling 1-800-576-4229 and obtaining a cancellation number. Rate and space are limited and not guaranteed until confirmed. If a guaranteed room is not canceled 72 hours prior to arrival, payment for the full rate on that room will be charged.
All attendees must register to attend the conference. Registration may be completed online, via fax-in form, or onsite. Everyone presenting (both oral and poster) and/or attending must register and wear a badge. Be sure to register by 07/07/14 in order to receive the lower registration rate. Registrations received at AMS from 07/08/14 and through the conference dates will be processed at the rate noted below (see g below). Registrations forms faxed or mailed to AMS Headquarters will be accepted until 21 July. Payment may be made with check, purchase order (hard copy required) or credit card (MasterCard/VISA/American Express). FAXED registration forms must be accompanied by payment (PO or credit card # only). Refunds are given (less a $25 fee) if cancellation is received by 1 AUGUST, 2014 (no refunds thereafter). Registration will not be processed without payment. Confirmation of registration will be emailed.
