Leeds-Bradford Airport is a relatively small, regional airport located 12 miles from the conference hotel. There are direct flights from many European cities, and connecting flights from the USA can be conveniently made through Schiphol, Amsterdam. There is a bus service every half hour from the airport into Leeds city centre (service 757), this takes approximately 30 minutes. The closest stop to the conference hotel is Leeds City Square (stop P5) almost directly opposite the hotel; see http://www.wymetro.com/BusTravel/ for maps and timetables. Taxis from the airport to the conference hotel cost approximately £20 – taxis must be booked in the office just outside the terminal building.

Manchester Airport is located approximately 50 miles from Leeds. There are many direct flights from major US airports into Manchester. There are direct trains from Manchester airport to Leeds approximately every 30 minutes.

London Heathrow is approximately 190 miles from Leeds and has the widest range of direct flights between the US and UK.

Trains
Leeds train station is located adjacent to the conference hotel. After coming through the station ticket barriers, head down the concourse on the left on the far side of the waiting area. When you exit the station building the main entrance to the Queens Hotel is immediately to the right.

Direct trains from Manchester airport to Leeds run approximately every half hour. Prices vary with time of day, but are typically about £20. Additional services run with a change of train at Manchester Piccadilly station. The journey takes approximately 1h 15m.

Trains from London Heathrow to Leeds require a change of trains in London – Heathrow Underground to London Kings Cross then Kings Cross to Leeds. The journey takes approximately 3h 20m. Ticket prices vary widely with time of day, and whether an advance booking is made and vary from approximately £50 to £160.

Details of train times, ticket prices, and advance bookings can be obtained at: http://www.thetrainline.com/. Advance bookings are usually cheaper than buying a ticket at the time of travel, and tickets may be collected from automated machines at the station using the credit card used to make the payment along with the booking reference number.
