From analyzing high and low pressure systems to visualizing the effects of El Niņo and La Niņa, these activities can be done at home, in a classroom, or as a laboratory. Completing these inquiry-based investigations allow you to observe properties of the ocean and atmosphere first hand. It can be used as a supplement to any of the AMS courses or alone as a classroom aid or study tool. For more information click here.

Educational Kit Glossary of Weather and Climate

American Meteorological Society, 1996, 272 pages. Inspired by increasing interest in the atmosphere and global change, the glossary provides a readily understandable, comprehensive and up-to-date reference for weather and climate terms, as well as definitions of related oceanographic and hydrologic terms. Indispensable for educators, students and persons interested in weather.

Educational Kit Hands-On Meteorology: Stories, Theories, and Simple Experiments

The book brings to life the world of scientific discovery, and introduces basic concepts of meteorology in an easy and attractive way. It contains many classroom-ready hands-on experiments which are specifically designed to aid in the understanding of science. Over 300 illustrations.

WeatherCycler The WeatherCycler

A durable 8 1/2" x 11" slide chart that uniquely displays map views and vertical cross sections through Highs, Lows, and fronts -- the broad-scale systems and features that dominate our weather. Sky views and changes in temperature and pressure complete the comprehensive chart depictions.

By simply pulling the chart insert, the weather systems are put into their typical movements from west to east.
Weather changes are shown for your location as the weather systems pass by.

Accompanying four-page instruction booklet describes the basic causes of weather and explains step-by-step how to use The WeatherCycler.
