The 22nd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting/18th Conference on
Numerical Weather Prediction is sponsored by the American Meteorological Society
and organized by the AMS Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting/Numerical
Weather Prediction. The conference will be held at the Yarrow Resort Hotel and
Conference Center, 1800 Park Avenue, Park City, Utah 84060.
Accommodations
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. All meeting
sessions for the conference will be held at the Yarrow Resort Hotel and Conference

A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of $79.00 for single/double occupancy
and a goverment per diem rate of $69.00 for single/double occupancy (state Per
Diem Rate with Utah Government ID to show upon check-in). Rates do not include
current state and local taxes of 10.35%. Children 17 and under stay free in same room
as parent. The additional person charge is $10.00 per night. To receive the special

An additional block of rooms has been reserved at the Park City Peaks Hotel, 2121 Park Ave., Park City, UT 84060. To receive the special rate of $68.00/night plus taxes, please be sure to make your reservations by June 15, 2007. Reservations must be reserved with a credit card. One night's lodging and tax will be charged for cancellations received after 4:00pm on day of arrival. Full Balance is due upon checkout, there is no refunds for late arrival, early departures or no-shows.
Tax Exempt Requirements
Current tax laws require that in order to receive a tax-exempt status on room rates, payment must be made by either a government issued check showing the tax identification number, or a government-issued credit card that shows tax exempt status. In addition, a current State of Utah or Federal tax-exempt form must accompany payment. Rooms not paid by one of these methods will be subject to tax and guests will need to retain receipts for potential reimbursement from their State or Federal office. Please note: A block of rooms has been reserved for your group and will be held until it is full or May 1, 2007, whichever may come first. If the room block is filled prior to the cutoff date, the hotel cannot guarantee rooms at the group rate. In addition, the hotel cannot guarantee rooms at the group rate after the room block has been released. Therefore, be sure to make your reservations early!
Getting There
The Yarrow Resort Hotel & Conference Center is very easy to find. Park City is the
most convenient destination resort in the country. From Salt Lake City, take Interstate
80 East for approximately 20 miles to Exit #145 at Kimball Junction/Park City and
turn Right on to SR-224. Proceed on SR-224 for an additional 5 miles South to the
Yarrow Resort Hotel & Conference Center.

Shuttle Services to Park City from the Salt Lake City International Airport:
For shuttle services from the airport to the Yarrow please use Park City Transportation.
To receive the special rate of $66.00/roundtrip per a person, a reservation must
be made. To make a reservation please call the Reservation Department at 800-637-
3803 and ask for the American Meteorological Society Group Rate. You can also

Student Opportunities
The AMS Weather Analysis and Forecasting Committee wishes to provide information to student members on various methods for support to attend the upcoming 22nd WAF/18th
