SPONSORSHIP/ORGANIZERS
The 38th Conference on Broadcast Meteorology is organized the AMS Board on Broadcast Meteorology and sponsored by the American Meteorological Society. This conference will be in Miami, Florida 24–27 June, 2010.

IMPORTANT DATES
Abstract Deadline: Monday, 25 January, 2010
Acceptance E-mails Out & Registration Opens: around Monday, 1 March, 2010
Pre-Registration Deadline: Monday, 10 May, 2010
Hotel Reservation Deadline: Saturday, 22 May, 2010
Manuscript Deadline: Tuesday, 27 July, 2010

ACCOMMODATIONS
All meeting sessions for the conferences will be held at the Deauville Beach Resort, 6701 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141. A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel for meeting attendees at a special rate of:

Guest Room Rates
Standard Rooms $126.00/Plus tax (Group Code AMS2010)
Standard Rooms include $5.00 per night to provide mini-refridgerators, electronic in-room safes, chaise lounges, poolside umbrellas, beach towels, fitness center, and wireless internet Upgrades of $50 per night for an ocean front balcony or $100 for an executive suite are based on availability.

To receive these special rates, attendees must request a room under the 38th Conference on Broadcast Meteorology room block between 1 July, 2009 and 22 May, 2010. Federal per diem rates are available, upon request, to Federal employees when making reservations.

Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel reservations. Attendees may call 305-865-8511 ext# 3800 for the in-house reservations department during normal hours of operation from 8:00am to 11:00pm Mon-Fri and from 9:00am to 9:30 pm on the weekends. Attendees may also book on-line at any time by going to www.deauvillebeachresort.com. Go to the group reservations link and enter
the following password: AMS2010.

Reservations made after that date are on a space available basis. Subject to room availability, these special rates will be available the weekends before and after the conference. We urge you to make reservations early since space is limited.

Wednesday 23 June from 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Thursday-Sunday during the hours of the conference. Registration will be closed for the field trip.

FULL-WEEK PACKAGE includes: Admittance to the conference and exhibits, all conference materials, Monday morning breakfast reception, all coffee breaks, 1 field trip ticket (includes lunch), and 1 banquet luncheon ticket.

ONE-DAY PACKAGE includes: Admittance to the conference and exhibits and all coffee breaks for one calendar day, and all conference materials. Tickets for the Field Trip and Banquet Luncheon must be purchased separately.

An opening breakfast reception will be held in the Exhibit Hall.

Driving:

From Miami International Airport: MIA (12 miles):
From Miami International Airport (MIA): Follow the sign to SR 112 East, pay the toll $1.25USD and take I195 East Miami Beach. Proceed on I195, take left lane to Arthur Goodfrey Causeway - turns into 41st Street. Continue on 41 Street until you reach A1A - which is also Collins Avenue. Make left turn (north) and continue on Collins Avenue until 67th Street. Hotel is on the right hand side

From Ft. Lauderdale Airport: FLL (20 miles):
From Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL): Follow the sign to take I95 South. Continue until you see sign Miami Beach I195 East. Proceed on I 195, take left lane to Arthur Goodfrey Causeway - same as 41st Street. Continue on 41 Street until you reach A1A - which is also Collins Avenue. Make left turn (north) and continue on Collins Avenue until 67th Street. Hotel is on the right hand side. Valet parking is available at the hotel for $20.00 overnight. The hotel does not offer self parking. Street parking and metered street parking is available. In addition, there is a public lot on 64th and
Collins and 71st and Collins.

Taxi cost is about $35-$40 from MIA and FLL dependent on current gas prices.
