Getting to New Orleans

Air Travel 

The closest major airport to the conference site is Louis Armstrong Airport (MSY). The N. Morial Convention Center is approximately a 20 minute (15 mile) drive from Louis Armstrong.

Ground Transportation

Taxis

There is a cab stand right outside of the airport on level 1. Fares are $36 each way for one or two people. Three people or more are $14 each. There is a $1 per bag fee. This fare is good from the airport to anywhere in the city of New Orleans. It’s regulated by the city but is subject to change.

 

Ride Sharing

You can also easily order an Uber or Lyft when you land at the New Orleans airport. Located on level 1, there is a designated spot for rideshare pick-ups. It is conveniently outside of baggage claim. Trips to and from the airport with start and end locations in Orleans Parish are a minimum of $36. 
 
For those traveling with children who need car seats or booster seats, KreweCar is a family-friendly rideshare app. Download their app and book in advance to ensure availability. 

 

City Bus 

Hop the RTA’s 202 Airport Express, which travels from the airport terminals to Elk Place at Canal Street in Downtown New Orleans. The fare is $1.50 and the bus makes 9 daily trips to New Orleans. The schedule can be found here.
 

Amtrak

The Amtrak Train Station is 8 minute (1.2 miles) drive from the convention center.
