New Journals Online Platform
The new platform for AMS's online journals and meteorological monographs will go live on 7 May, with improved accessibility for mobile devices, smoother navigation, and an updated layout. The URL remains the same: journals.ametsoc.org brings you to our high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals.
As part of AMS's response to COVID-19, currently all AMS journal articles are freely available, effective 25 March through 30 June 2020. We hope this is helpful to those in our communities who may have challenges with their usual access methods, as well as to the librarians who serve them.

AMS Scholarships and Fellowships
Each spring volunteers review more than 300 applications from students for the fellowships and scholarships offered by AMS. Generously supported by members, corporations, and government agencies, these awards are highly competitive, and it takes a considerable amount of time to review the applications and make the difficult decisions on the final slate of recipients. We thank our volunteers for their amazing efforts.
AMS also commends the student applicants for their commitment to academic goals and for the dedication and hard work that has made them eligible for one of these fellowships or scholarships. We only wish we could provide an award to each of those who have applied, as we strongly believe in fostering the growth of the next generation of scientists. Our sponsors share that belief, as demonstrated by the support they have generously provided.
We look forward to announcing the 2020 fellowship and scholarship recipients in the June Soundings. Stay tuned! For information on sponsoring a scholarship or fellowship, please contact Stephanie Armstrong.
