Make your voice heard on radio frequency allocation. The AMS has posted a precis and invites community members to join a drafting committee for an updated AMS Statement on Radio Frequency Allocation: Impacts on the Weather, Water, and Climate Enterprise.
A great place to start learning about this issue is the new Front Page blog post by Ya’el Seid-Green of the AMS Policy Program explaining the complexities of “Protecting Scientific Use of the Spectrum”.

Grants are available for 2016 AMS specialty conference sessions—don’t miss out! Travel grants are available for senior undergraduate (applicants must be in their senior year of undergraduate study at the time of conference) and graduate students. Travel grants are available to AMS student members. Interested students cannot be presenters at the conference. To access the program applications, log in through your membership profile. |
