GENERAL SCIENCE RESOURCES

AMS Glossary - An online reference for terms relevant to the AMS and Climate Variability and Change. The CVC committee regularly contributes the maintenance of climate terms within the glossary.

Journal of Climate Early Access - Main page for early access to upcoming articles in the AMS Journal of Climate

CLIMATE & CLIMATE CHANGE RESOURCES

Note that one must be cautious when looking for climate information. Here's a list of reliable information about climate and climate change.

Climate Measurements

The Keeling Curve - Daily record of global atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations.

History of the Keeling Curve

Keeling Curve Lessons

NASA Surface Temperature Measurements - Regularly updated surface global temperature measurements maintained by NASA Goddard Institute for Space Sciences. Provides a graphical interface to generate your own plots.

NOAA Climate Monitoring - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's monitoring and assessment of the climate

Educational Resources

Climate Educational Resources - Resources for teaching about climate and energy

Climate Change Fact Sheet - Fact sheet on climate change from the American Geophysical Union

Climate Change Assessments and Impacts

Climate Central - Research and reporting on climate change and public impacts.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) - Report on the state of knowledge on climate change

Fourth National Climate Assessment of 2017 - The Global Change Research Act of 1990, passed by the U.S. Congress in 1990, requires regular climate assessments. The most recent report is the Fourth National Climate Assessment of 2017. It was written by a team of more than 300 experts guided by a 60-member Federal Advisory Committee.
