Welcoming: Mr. Gary McWilliams and Dr. Lars Peter Riishojgaard
"I am thrilled to welcome Mr. Gary McWilliams, Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Meteorologist assigned as Deputy Director and Army/Department of Defense Liaison to the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Customer Liaison Office, and Dr. Lars Peter Riishojgaard, Director of the Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA), as new members of the AMS SatMOC Committee. Both of their 3-year committee terms begin in January 2014. They are joining our SatMOC committee since they are leads for the GOES-R/JPSS Conference and JCSDA Symposium programs, respectively, both of which now fall under the purview of our committee. Having Gary and Lars Peter join us greatly benefits us and them in coordinating and organizing our and their respective future programs."
