Anita Gajdecki obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Astrophysics at Manchester University and a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence at Cranfield University in the UK. She worked for a decade as a management consultant, managing large scale information technology projects in the finance industry in the UK and Europe. Bilingual in Polish, she worked with the Polish government in the early 1990s to set up the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In 1997 Anita moved to New York where she volunteered at the Hayden Planetarium focusing on astronomy education for the general public, writing and recording monthly Sky Reporters, and helping to organize public lecture series.
Anita obtained a Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2011 and is now an adjunct staff member at the American Meteorological Society, primarily involved with effective and impartial climate change information outreach.
Her current interests focus on feedbacks in the climate, particularly in the areas related to clouds and water vapor.
