Erica Grow is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist, most recently working as an on-camera meteorologist for WNBC, the flagship TV station of the NBC-owned station group. She also currently serves on the AMS Council, the AMS Board on Best Practices, and the AMS Board on Enterprise Economic Development. Erica has presented at numerous AMS Conferences and Meetings, including the Policy Program’s workshop, “New Minds for New Science: The Forecast for Work in the Weather, Water and Climate Enterprise”. In 2019, Erica was a delegate to the WMO World Congress (Cg-18), leading the High-Level Roundtable Discussion on the launch of the Open Consultative Platform (OCP). Her current work focuses on the Weather Ready Nation program, specifically on the role that the thousands of WRN Ambassadors play in keeping citizens safe from severe weather and other natural hazards. Erica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Penn State University in 2002.
