Isabella Herrera (she/her) is an Assistant in Policy, Communication, & Collaboration at AMS. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Florida International University in Sustainability and the Environment and specialized in marine biology, biodiversity conservation, and environmental management.
After witnessing how rising sea levels, heatwaves, and hurricanes of increasing severity have impacted her home state of Florida, Isabella hopes to focus her work on building resilience in coastal communities and ecosystems. Her interests include environmental education, marine plastic pollution, environmental justice and policy, as well as ecosystem-based and community-led solutions to climate change.
