I have a bit of a nontraditional career path. It took me 6 years from completing my undergraduate degree to finally get the dream job as a science librarian. In those 6 years, I held 7 different jobs (I held 2 jobs for about 3 years) and moved 4 times to 3 different states. The jobs I held were Data Reviewer, AmeriCorps FEMA Corps Team Member, Starbucks Barista, Macy's Shipping Associate, Graduate Assistant, Instructional Librarian, and (currently) STEM Librarian. Luckily for me, my now-husband followed and supported me through every single, long, trying step. Now, we are in a good spot in life and can achieve other endeavors.

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do with a meteorology degree. I didn't want any of the typical paths (broadcast, academia/research, and forecasting) because nothing resonated with me. I tried my share of internships and other experiences in forecasting, broadcasting, research, and emergency management. It was at an AMS Meeting career fair that I discovered my niche: Atmospheric Science Librarian. I made it my life's mission to achieve that position, and I did!

Please feel free to ask me anything. I applied to my fair share of jobs and had my share of interviews. I struggled with the job and housing market competitiveness of a post-pandemic world. I know how hard it is to maintain health mentally, physically, and emotionally. I get you! I was you once. Allow me to provide you some peace of mind.
