Accommodations

Attendees were responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. A block of rooms had been reserved at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver in downtown Vancouver.

We urged attendees to book a hotel room at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver as revenue from sleeping rooms helps offset other meeting costs and is passed down to attendees in keeping registration rates to a minimum.

We had set aside rooms for meeting attendees at the special rate of $264 CAD ($211 USD) single/double plus tax

All room rates are subject to the appropriate federal, provincial, municipal, and local occupancy taxes and fees in effect at the time of the meeting. These are currently five percent (5%) Goods and Services Tax (GST), eight percent (8%) Provincial Sales Tax (PST), three percent (3%) Municipal Regional District Tax (MRDT) andone and a half percent (1.5%) Destination Marketing Fee (DMF). Total taxes and fees equate to seventeen and a half percent (17 .5%).

To / From Vancouver International Airport

Canada Line:
The Canada Line connects Vancouver International Airport to downtown Vancouver in under 30 minutes. Cost is $4 for adults and $2.75 for children during peak hours each way, plus a $5.00 surcharge for all trips originating at the airport. Hyatt Regency Vancouver is located at the Burrard Street station and will require a transfer at either Granville Station or Waterfront Station.You can also take the train to Vancouver City Centre, exit onto Georgia Street and take a left, we are located two short blocks away at 655 Burrard Street. Taxi: 
Taxis are available at the airport 24 hours a day, including wheelchair accessible vans. Taxi queue areas are located at both the domestic and international arrivals terminals. There is a flat rate from the Airport to the Hyatt of $31.00 CAD, and is approximately $35.00 CAD from the Hyatt to the Airport as a metered fare. 

To / From the Cruise Ship Dock:

Taxi services are available to and from Canada Place to our hotel. Cost is approximately $10.00 CAD to $20.00 CAD. Please see our concierge for arrangements.

Via Rail and Amtrak:

Both Via Rail and Amtrak serve Vancouver. Taxi to Pacific Central Station is approximately $12.00 CAD. Service is also available on Skytrain (three stops away).
