12 – 14 April 2016 Washington , DC
This year's Forum theme was "Leveraging Environmental Intelligence to Enhance Risk Management." Following that theme, the Forum focused on the use of weather, water, and climate data--together creating a foundation for environmental intelligence--to support risk management across the public and private sectors. This included agencies and companies whose operations and planning are dependent on environmental factors, as well as agencies and companies whose primary mission is to identify, analyze, and/or mitigate environmentally induced risks.

The 2016 AMS Washington Forum was organized by the AMS Board on Enterprise Economic Development and sponsored by the American Meteorological Society.
It is the Society's sincere desire to comply fully with both the letter and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Attendees with special needs at the convention center should check with the AMS Meetings Department (617) 227-2426, (option 4) four–six weeks prior to the meeting so that necessary services can be put into place such as CART, special print services, or wheelchair accessible service for the hotel shuttle. If issues arise on-site, please visit the AMS Registration Desk
Special housing needs should also be requested when hotel reservations are made. AMS wants to ensure that each attendee's stay at the conference is a pleasant and productive one.
