Information for Presenters

What To Expect During Your Live Presentation Time:

  • Format: Zoom Webinar
  • You will receive an email with the link to join the Zoom Webinar as a panelist. If you do not receive your link(s) 72 hours before your session begins, please reach out to AMS Meetings.

    • Please note you will need to rename yourself upon entering the Zoom Webinar. To change your name after entering a Zoom meeting, click on the “Participants” button at the top of the Zoom window. Then hover your mouse over your name in the “Participants” list on the right side of the Zoom window. Select “Rename” and enter your name.

  • Please plan to enter your zoom 15 minutes prior to when the session is scheduled to begin. You will be able to practice and to meet with the production technician, who will help with any technical difficulties and control the slides.
  • While you are speaking, your slide deck will be shown by the tech via screen share.
  • Plan to be unmuted and have your webcam on while presenting. 
  • If there is time at the end of the live presentations, the audience will ask questions via Zoom Webinar Q&A. The Moderator will read the questions aloud for you to answer.

What to Prepare:

  • Slides
    • Presenters that would like to have slides shown during the live presentation must upload the slides in advance.
    • Please upload any slides you plan to share during your live presentation by 17 September here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/U5oQDImXi53E1xJyZ4ds.
    • File name: Please name the file with your last name and session title and/or number before uploading your slides to the above link.
    • Slides should be in one of these three formats; PPT, JPEG, PNG.
    • Slides should be no larger than 2GB.
  • Pre-recorded Presentation Video (Optional) (MP4)
    • While it is not required, we encourage all presenters to upload a pre-recorded video of their presentation that will be shown to attendees in the event of any technical difficulties.
    • Please upload your pre-recorded presentation by 17 September here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/U5oQDImXi53E1xJyZ4ds.
    • File name: Please name the file with your last name and session title and/or number before uploading your slides to the above link.
    • Pre-recorded content should be in MP4 format
    • Pre-recorded content should be no larger than 2GB.
