The 52nd Conference on Broadcast and Digital Meteorology and 21st Conference on Mesoscale Processes sponsored by the American Meteorological Society, is headed to the Northwest!
The Broadcast Conference will be held at the Boise Centre in Boise, ID and Online June 24-26, 2025. This location serves as the conference meeting destination. The designated hotel accommodations will be available soon on the Location and Accommodations Page. The Centre and hotels are located right in the heart of downtown! It's four miles from the Boise Airport.
As with every year, presentations will focus on recent weather events that are unique to the host region as well as what's happening in your city, too! As TV meteorologists, we encourage broadcaster presentations, showcasing how science is communicated across the country. Below are some suggested areas that will be highlighted during our 2025 conference:

Training the Next Wave of Broadcast and Digital Meteorologists;
Other Topics in Broadcast and Digital Meteorology
Presentations in other genres, including connections with social science, oceanography, aviation, agriculture, astronomy and space weather are also encouraged.
The deadline for abstracts is January 30, 2025 at 5:00 PM ET. An abstract fee of $120 (payable by credit card or purchase order) is charged at the time of submission (refundable only if abstract is not accepted). The $120 abstract fee includes the submission of your abstract, the posting of your extended abstract and the uploading and recording of your presentation that will be archived on the AMS website. Authors of accepted presentations are notified via e-mail mid-March 2025. Weather and media vendors are encouraged to participate in the conference by purchasing AMS exhibit booth space to showcase their latest products and advancements. Exhibitors will also participate in the conference by presenting during the conference sessions.
