Register for the AMS Climate Policy Colloquium

You can attend the 2024 Climate Policy Colloquium through two avenues:

1) Register as a Paying Attendee

The $2,900 tuition fee includes all sessions, workshops, tours/briefings, and materials. Please note: the tuition fee does not include room and board or travel. 

If you do not have an AMS account you will be prompted to create one before registering (Note: there is no charge to create an AMS account). Those applying for financial support should not register as a paying attendee. 

Registration is open until October 26, 2024 or until capacity is reached. If it is after October 26 and you are interested in registering, please email [email protected].

Cancellation policy: Those registered may cancel their registration up until and through November 30, 2024 and refunds will be granted. Those who cancel after the November 30th but prior to December 12th, 2024 will be refunded 50% of the tuition fee. Please email [email protected] with questions or to request the cancellation.

2) Apply for Financial Support

We are no longer accepting applications for financial support for the 2024 Climate Policy Colloquium. To see opportunities for funding assistance for the 2025 Science Policy Colloquium, visit: https://www.ametsoc.org/spc-register

Graduate students and postdoctoral researchers are eligible to apply for financial support to attend the AMS Climate Policy Colloquium. Full support will cover the costs of tuition, room and board, and travel. Partial support may also be available.

Application Requirements for Funding

Those competing for support must submit (1) a letter of intent, (2) a curriculum vitae, and (3) contact information for two references. Additional letters of support may be included but are not required. 

To be eligible to receive funding, applicants must be currently enrolled in or employed by a U.S. institution or university and members of the American Meteorological Society. Student membership is sufficient for this requirement. Applicants for funding do not need to be a member at the time of application submission but must be a member at the time when funds are disbursed.
