11-13 May 2021 Virtual Meeting
Please note the 13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Virtual Symposium virtual platform was shared with the 34th Conference on Hurricanes and Tropical Meteorology Virtual Meeting, taking place the same week in May. All registered attendees had full access to the program, materials, and live presentations for both meetings.
AMS Committee on Agricultural and Forest Meteorology represents the membership on the subdiscipline surface-atmosphere exchange with a focus on feedbacks between the land surface and lower atmospheric processes (atmospheric surface layer), and how these influence climate, weather variability, and atmospheric impacts to near-surface atmospheric turbulent transport, forests, agricultural systems, and ecosystems in general. The 13th Fire and Forest Meteorology Symposium occurred virtually and included a number of topics, which can be viewed here.
