The 32nd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF) and the 28th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) are organized by the AMS Committee on Weather Analysis and Forecasting and are hosted by the American Meteorological Society.

The 20th Conference on Mesoscale Processes is organized by the AMS Committee on Mesoscale Processes and is hosted by the American Meteorological Society. 

Sponsorship

There are several sponsorship opportunities available at the 32nd Conference on Weather Analysis and Forecasting (WAF)/28th Conference on Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP)/20th Conference on Mesoscale Processes. All sponsors will receive recognition on the conference website, conference program and signage at event sponsored. Interested companies and organizations should contact Adam Kelly.

Registration

All attendees must register to attend the conference. Registration must be completed online. Everyone presenting (both oral and poster) and/or attending must register. No on-site registration will be available for in-person attendance.  In-person attendance must be completed in advance. 

In-Person and Remote Registration Rates

Payment may be made with check, purchase order (hard copy required) or credit card (MasterCard/VISA/American Express). There will be no registration refunds after 06/30/2023. Cancellations made before this date will be charged a $50.00 processing fee.

Registration rates for the 32WAF/28NWP/20Meso meeting are the same for in-person and virtual participants. We made this decision so that we can offer a robust, flexible, and equal experience for everyone, whether you are in-person or virtual. Other factors involved include:

• Increased costs for the in-person experience (audiovisual expenses, food and beverage costs, facility rental, on-site labor, travel costs, health and safety protocols etc.)
• Increased costs for the remote experience (internet and hardware for live streaming, software for messaging and chat, labor, etc.)
• It makes it easier for attendees to change their registration method from in-person to virtual and vice versa
• It allows presenters the opportunity to present/facilitate discussion in-person or virtually with an in-person and virtual audience

It is the Society's sincere desire to comply fully with both the letter and the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.  Attendees with special needs at the conference should check with the AMS Meetings Department (617) 226-3916, four–six weeks prior to the meeting to request special arrangements.  Special housing needs should be requested when making hotel reservations.
