Location
The 31st Conference on Severe Local Storms will take place at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort in Virginia Beach, VA! For more information and to plan your trip, check out the Visit Virginia Beach website here.
All meeting sessions for the conference will be held at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort at 4201 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA, USA 23541.
Accommodations
A block of rooms was reserved at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort for meeting attendees at the special rate of $179.00 plus tax and a group of rooms was at the government per diem* rate $120.00 plus tax for those who qualify. Rates do not include applicable taxes, services, or Hotel-specific fees.
Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. We urge you to book your hotel room at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort as revenue from sleeping rooms helps offset other meeting costs and is passed down to attendees in keeping registration rates to a minimum.
Please note that resort fee ($25/room/day) is waived for rooms booked within the AMS room block. The resort fee may show on your reservation at the time of booking, but you will not be charged. Those who book within the AMS room block can opt to include the resort fee, if desired.
Attendee Reservations
$179.00 per night plus applicable taxes and fees (rate listed here does not include $25/room/night resort fee. Fee will be waived upon check in)
Government Reservations
$120.00 per night plus applicable taxes and fees (rate listed here does not include $25/room/night resort fee. Fee will be waived upon check in.)
*Please note that this rate is available only to federal government employees. Those who book within this block must present a federal government employee ID upon check-in.
Cancellation Policy
Reservation must be canceled 72 hours before arrival time (Eastern) to avoid a one night penalty.
Check-in: After 4:00 PM Eastern
Check-out: Before 11:00 AM Eastern

Please note that rooms are available at the AMS rate on a space available basis until this date. To ensure you are able to make a reservation at the AMS rate, we recommend you book as soon as possible.
Transportation
