Congressional Visits Days are an opportunity for scientists to meet with congressional staff. The goal is to provide information, build relationships, and develop an improved understanding of the Congressional landscape.

- Climate Science Day on Capitol Hill
12-13 March, 2019
The purpose of the visits is to provide Members of Congress the best possible access to scientific information on climate science when making policy decisions. This non-partisan event, organized by the Climate Science Working Group (CSWG), does not subscribe to any particular policy or course of action.
- Weather, Water and Climate Day on Capitol Hill
May 22-23, 2018
This opportunity for AMS members to learn about Congress and build relationships between AMS and Congressional offices will help ensure that Members of Congress and their staffs have access to the best available scientific information relating to weather, water and climate.
- Geoscience Day on Capitol Hill
September 12-13, 2018
This opportunity for AMS members to participate in the upcoming geoscience visits day being led by AGI and AGU. Participants will learn about Congress and build relationships between AMS and Congressional offices, which will help ensure that Members of Congress and their staffs have access to the best available scientific information relating to weather, water and climate.
