The Education Program of the American Meteorological Society is committed to making the electronic and information technologies of its AMS RealTime Portal accessible to individuals with disabilities.

Most pages within this Portal are in html format, generally accessible to members of our learning community who use screen readers. Dynamic data products such as maps and charts are typically in a gif format and not part of an html web page. Associated text and links provide a general identification of all these products, and image names are clearly descriptive of each product.

Our associated eBooks, when accessed in online format using a standard web browser, or as an ePub download, are also generally accessible to members of our learning community, including those who use screen readers.

Some content is provided in PDF format. People using screen-reading devices are generally able to read documents directly in PDF format, using the accessibility plug-in installed on their system along with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. This plug-in is available at NO CHARGE from Adobe.

Several links within the AMS RealTime Portal are to external websites whose accessibility policies are determined by the owning organizations.
