Student Opportunities

If you’re a student interested in and or currently studying the field of weather, water, and climate, attending an AMS meeting is an essential and important step in your career path.

  • Expand your knowledge.
  • Improve your research opportunities.
  • Share your own ideas.
  • Connect with experts.
  • Grow personally and professionally.

AMS wants to help you attend our meetings – we offer several support opportunities to make this possible:

Student Assistant*

Volunteer students are needed for registration and audio/visual support throughout the conference. Volunteers are required to be in attendance the entire conference, and must be available to work at least a full day from Monday through Friday. In exchange for volunteering, students receive one free conference registration, plus $40.00 per day worked for food allowance. This program is offered on a first come, first served basis. A limited number of students will be needed for the conference. Interested? Please contact Jeiry Nin ([email protected]) for details.
